Words That Write

I used to write poetry 

Of affection and laughter, 

tears and play

Just to say 

I love you

Each different you

Creating different flavours

Within my souls phrases

But recently my voice has ceased 

All creativity 

Kept at bay 

Because you said 

I love you

I wanted to believe

This you was true

And left things like poetry

But like the others

Your heart is another's

So return to words

To love inside

My poetry

To use words that write 

My reality.
